Absolutely! In fact, many women join their first Gather & Roam adventure on their own.
We know it can feel like a big step, which is why we work hard to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Before long, you'll be chatting like you've known everyone for years.
Who are Gather & Roam adventures for?

Gather & Roam is designed for women who love the outdoors, discovering new places and meeting like-minded people.
Our community is primarily made up of women in their 20s, 30s and 40s, but if our adventures and values resonate with you, you'll be very welcome.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course! Whether you come solo or with a friend, we'd love to have you.

How do I know if a walk is suitable for me?

Every event includes details about distance, ascent, terrain and difficulty so you can choose the right adventure for your experience and fitness level.
If you're unsure, just get in touch—we're always happy to help.
Not always.
Many of our adventures are suitable for beginners, while others are aimed at more experienced walkers. We'll always explain this clearly in the event description.
Yes.
All Gather & Roam walks are professionally led by a qualified Hill & Moorland Leader.
We recommend comfortable walking clothing that's suitable for the weather, along with sturdy walking footwear.
A full kit list will be sent before your adventure.
Safety always comes first.
If conditions make it unsafe to continue with the planned route, we'll adapt, postpone or reschedule the event where necessary.
We'll keep everyone updated if changes are needed.
Yes.
Gather & Roam is fully insured for guided outdoor activities.
Our cancellation policy can be found in our Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions before booking, please get in touch.
Where possible, we'll always try to help, but transfers are subject to availability and our booking terms.
